7 Books Every Artist Should Read

When people ask me how I learned learned to become a professional artist I give many answers; the one I always go back to is books! Between going to my public library, audiobooks, and buying books on Amazon, I am a huge book worm. Anything you want to know about becoming a professional artist has already been written in a book in one way or another. Whether you want to learn how to paint, how art galleries are managed, how to market yourself online, or how to talk to people in a charismatic way - there is a book for you.

Since dropping out of art school in 2015 I have read over 100 business and marketing books, and I have lost track of the quantity of art books I have read.

This list isn't about art techniques. These books I are geared towards creative thinking and developing the professional side of being a professional artist.
